Graduates of the program
On Thursday evening, November 20, 2008, the program participants who have completed a bachelor’s degree gathered at the offices of the Academia program. This meeting was the cornerstone for creating a network of Academia alumni.
The meeting began with each of the participants introducing themselves. We were pleased to hear that most of the graduates are working in their field of study. After the introductions, Nurit Berman and Gil Lev from the Emda group – a recruitment, head hunting and consultation group for senior executives – described the importance and potential in establishing a network for graduates of the Academia program. In the Internet era, when you can directly contact a company’s manager with the click of a mouse, social networking is very important. The social network constitutes a platform for providing useful information to the program’s graduates after high school or after completing a bachelor’s degree.
For high school graduates – program alumni who have completed a bachelor’s degree have agreed to serve as mentoras acting as a resource for current participants, answering questions about academic institutions, programs of study and enrichment courses.
For graduates with bachelor’s degrees – the network provides information about job vacancies, enrichment in areas of employment and leisure activity.
The program’s Web site will soon include a section with information about how to contact graduates
who are willing to answer questions.
Other ideas raised at the meeting will also be incorporated on the site: firstname.lastname@example.org
